Plan A Memorable Arizona 2008 Super Bowl Experience Now

Still several months away, the 2008 Super Bowl is already a hot topic. Many people have already purchased their game tickets as well as their flight and hotel tickets. NFL's big event is scheduled for Sunday, February 3, 2008 in sunny Glendale, Arizona.

Planning well in advance for the 2008 Super Bowl in Glendale, Arizona, is definitely a wise choice. Tickets are expensive, but you will save a significant amount of money if you purchase tickets now.

Super Bowl XLII tickets are already for sale and will cost you around $3,250.00, depending who your source for tickets is. Currently as expensive as $9,000.00, those same Super Bowl tickets will be more expensive.

The newly constructed stadium in Glendale, Arizona has been named The University of Phoenix stadium and recently opened its doors on August 1st, 2006 and holds 63,400 seats. It has the capability to expand to 73,000 seats. Considered a premier when it comes to the very best in architectural design, the stadium and the locals can hardly wait to be a part of NFL's big event.

Business Week Magazine noted the stadium as one of the 10 "most impressive" sports facilities in the world because of the combination of the retractable roof along with the roll-in natural grass field. This is the only stadium in North America with such a stadium as this one.

With more than 300 days of sunshine every year in Arizona, The University of Phoenix Stadium is retractable and will likely be open during the 2008 Super Bowl, weather permitting. The upcoming Super Bowl in 2008, will be only the second game in Super Bowl history with a retractable roof.

What kind of weather can you expect for Super Bowl XLII in Arizona? Well, you will be happy to know that the average temperature in Arizona in February is a comfortable 70 degrees. It has been as warm as 92 degrees, so be prepared for possible warmer weather.

If you have not been to Arizona during the winter, keep in mind that 70 degrees in Arizona does not feel like 70 degrees in other parts of the country, such as the Midwest. It is best to dress in layers, especially if the roof is open during game time. Some Arizona Cardinal fans complained last year about the retractable roof being open during the Cardinals regular season games, so be advised that you may wish to take along warmer clothing.

Entertainment for the Super Bowl has not yet been determined, but both Bruce Springsteen and Norah Jones are reported as possibilities.

If you are looking for luxury suites, there are 88 on two separate levels that are available and will seat approximately 1,500 patrons. Club seating for 7,000 fans is also available which includes access to private club lounges.

Lower bowl seating, will also accommodate 29,000 2008 Super Bowl fans and Upper Deck Seating will hold about 26,000 fans.

Here are some tips when planning for NFL's 2008 big event.

There are still plenty of hotel rooms that are available, but there are some hotels that have already sold out of rooms. Without question, it would be wise for you to reserve your hotel room now, to avoid having to drive excess miles to the game.

Some nearby hotels include the Embassy Suites Hotel Phoenix, Hilton Suites, Radisson, Pointe South Mountain, Sheraton, Phoenician, The Buttes, and other famous chains.

Determine your driving route. If you are not familiar with Glendale, Arizona and the location of the stadium, print or write out your driving directions. It will be extremely busy and crowded, so the last thing you need is to get lost!

It would be best if you arrived plenty early for the best parking along with your piece of mind. There will be plenty of activities before the game to keep you entertained.

Write down which parking lot that you parked in. You will be glad you did.

Bring some extra cash just in case you need it. Cash machines will be available, but they will likely charge you a fee for their service.

Wear a pair of pants, versus shorts. You may also wish to consider wearing a pair of those outdoor pants that have zippers just above the knee that can be taken off if you get too warm.

Keep in mind that the stadium is likely to be open on the day of the game and it will likely be an ordinary Arizona sunny day, so take along sunscreen. Use a good sunscreen before you leave for the stadium. Sunburn is no fun, not to mention very dangerous. If the roof is open, you are going to want to make sure that you have protection from the sun. Also strongly consider taking along a hat, as well.

If you layer your clothing, you can always take them off. Also do not forget to take along your sunglasses, as the glare may bother your eyes.

If you have the time, consider staying a couple of extra days to enjoy the state of Arizona! There are many more things to do in Arizona.

Most importantly, don't forget to bring your tickets to the game!

Little Learners

Joining an activity group is the perfect way to let your baby socialize and find out about the world. And as an added bonus, it could also save your own sanity

For most new parents the first few weeks pass in a whirl of cooing relatives, sleepless nights and mysterious milky mess. But there comes a time for every new mummy and daddy when things finally start to fall into place.

Now you know which way round a sleep suit goes, you can operate the car seat and even have the confidence to drive your precious bundle at more than ten miles an hour, its time to leave the confines of home.

Luckily there are a multitude of baby groups and activities suitable for little minds keen to learn from all they see and hear.

Not only do they provide babies with an important opportunity to make contact with their tiny colleagues, at a time when rates of postnatal depression are on the rise, these activities can be equally important for new mums who can easily find themselves feeling lonely and isolated.

For the very young, baby massage classes are a great place to start.

Experts say the technique of rubbing your babys body with natural oils can help you to bond while promoting sleep and helping relieve colic.

Baby yoga can also help to produce a chilled out cherub and classes give you the chance to interact with your baby through movement, song and relaxation.

With light shows, baby rock and roll, instruments and a large play area, Baby Sensory classes are full of excitement for both parents and tots.

The classes are packed full of ideas of how to stimulate and soothe your baby and there is also a chance to learn baby signing to help with early communication.

Once youve brushed up on your nursery rhymes, there are many opportunities for public performances.

Rhyme Time is a free session for the under twos held twice a month at Salisbury Library.

Parents sing a mixture of old classics and new favourites while the babies bounce along on their laps and play instruments.

Also for the musically minded are Jo Jingles classes which combine music, singing and movement with an array of instruments and exciting paraphernalia like parachutes and bubble machines.

The delightfully named Jolly Babies also provides an early introduction to music and children are encouraged to develop a sense of rhythm as well as have a go at baby signing.

More active babies will enjoy gym Babes where tots are encouraged to play and crawl together.

As they find their feet they move on to Tumble Tots where they can start to jump, roll and climb on a range of exciting equipment.

And for water babies, Five Rivers Leisure Centre holds daily parent and child swimming lessons where you can splash around together while singing nursery rhymes, playing with toys and developing confidence in the water.

Activities can be equally important for new mums who can easily find themselves feeling lonely and isolated.
